Step-by-step route to Narmanlı Han
Destination: Museum of Illusions Istanbul, Narmanlı Han, İstiklal Caddesi No:180, Beyoğlu. Look for the museum signs inside Narmanlı Han; the publisher’s Tbilisi address is not the attraction.
- From Taksim: take M2 towards Yenikapı and get off at the next station, Şişhane. Follow the İstiklal Caddesi / Tünel signs, then walk to Narmanlı Han at No:180.
- From Sultanahmet: take T1 towards Kabataş to Karaköy. Transfer on foot to F2, ride uphill to Beyoğlu (Tünel), then walk along İstiklal Caddesi towards Taksim to No:180.
- Final approach: open the walking route below and match the building number and museum name before entering. Allow extra time for station exits, crossings and queues.

This is our suggested route based on the official address and rail connections, checked on 4 November 2026. It is not a live service report; check station closures and accessible exits before setting out.
Opening hours
The museum lists Sunday–Thursday 11:00–20:00 and Friday–Saturday 11:00–21:00. Checked on 4 November 2026; confirm the schedule before travelling, especially on holidays.
A practical visit plan
Our planning suggestion is to reserve 60–90 minutes inside, plus any queue and travel time. This is a flexible allowance, not an official duration. Start with the rooms, take turns as photographer, then try the smaller installations. Keep your ticket and phone available.
For perspective photographs, take one image from the marked viewpoint and one from another angle: comparing them makes the illusion easier to understand. Leave space for other visitors and follow staff directions.
Bring the family
Check each child’s age category with the seller. Take turns with photographs and agree on a meeting point. Follow the guidance for each installation.
Access and individual exhibits
The official contact page describes the museum as accessible. That statement does not establish access to every installation. Before booking, ask the museum about step-free access to Narmanlı Han, space for your chair or pushchair, and alternatives to the Tilted Room and Vortex Tunnel.
We did not find a reliable Istanbul-specific table of age, height or mobility limits on the linked exhibit pages. Confirm individual restrictions with staff; do not treat the absence of a published limit as unrestricted access.
